The energy tech start up Lynqtech began to feel the constraints of the Bootstrap/Mentronic Library as the design and development ambitions evolved.
While the library served its purpose for a time, our increasingly intricate projects demanded a more tailored approach. The gap between our design and development teams started to widen, and a unified direction was clearly needed.
Our goal was to create a scalable, enterprise-ready design system that would align both design and development teams. We needed a solution that allowed for real-time collaboration, ensured design consistency across products, and centralized knowledge so everyone could stay aligned.
To address this, we embarked on crafting the Lynqtech Design System. Transitioning from rudimentary wireframes, we embraced Figma as our collaborative platform. Not only did it allow real-time synchronization between design and dev, but it also became a hub for creative ideas. Storybook further enhanced our design consistency, ensuring that our vision was seamlessly translated into every component. And to keep everything organized and accessible, Confluence played a pivotal role in housing our documentation.
Synchronized Work: Figma bridged the gap, offering a space where designers and developers could bring ideas to life together.
Unified Vision: Thanks to Storybook, our designs maintained a consistent look and feel across all projects.
Knowledge Centralization: With Confluence, every team member could stay updated, ensuring smooth progress and efficient communication.
